Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto, domo...domo

Day two at Cornwall Lift-Off...

This afternoon we went out to the midway, and I had to ride all the rides with Lindsay. I've been spun and hung upside down!

Before going back for tonight's concert Chrisanne, her Mom and I played balloon chasers tonight! We figured since I got shots of the balloons going up yesterday we'd get them coming down today. Luck was with us, as the winds didn't take the balloons across the river and into the U.S. Here are a few of today's shots.

After dropping Chrisanne's Mom back off home we went back out to the festival site. Since my camera batteries weren't dead tonight (I killed my battery last night!) I got to play a bit and got the Ferris wheel all lit up and spinning!

Chrisanne and I treated ourselves to a childhood treat... there was a booth selling candy and we both bought Fun-Dip! Who remembers Fun-Dip? Of course the best part is the stick not the powdered candy. Both of us got about half way through our Fun-Dips and realized, it was SOOOO sweet and how could we eat this when we were kids?
Tonight's show was Dennis DeYoung the former lead singer of Styx. He of course entertained us with Mr. Roboto! I happened to be up close when he pulled out Mr. Roboto's head!

We're both really looking forward to tomorrow night, its Theory of a Deadman! They played Ottawa at Bluesfest on Thursday night... for a whopping 42$ (after taxes, charges, etc). We've paid $20 for the whole weekend! That means we're going to see Theory of a Deadman for all fo $5!!! Can't wait!

Great photos, especially the ferris wheel. Glad you're having such a good time, sounds like quite a deal for what you paid.

Also, congratulations on your earlier finish of the Doubleflips, it looks wonderful. Thanks too for your tips on centering the wording on mine. It did make sense and helped. I've never worked a design where the chart wasn't all put together so that I had several reference points to count off, this has been a learning experience.
